We are currently putting together a prototype of the WaveScalar system. This prototype will be built from 16 boards that were custom designed here at the University of Washington.

Timeline

• Feb 2003 - Board project started
• Jun 2004 - Schematic review complete
• May 2005 - Board layout shipped to manufacture
• July 2005 - Blank boards back from manufacturing

  

• August 2005 - Boards back from component build

  

• Late August 2005 - Boards lit up and FPGAs & SRAMs tested

  

• Early October 2005 - Board tests complete, decision to manufacture 18 more
• Late October 2005 - 18 more boards back from assembly. Currently testing
• Nov 2005A 4x4 assembles (connections are aligned right) and talks
• Dec 2005 - 20 boards back and fully working (20 for 20 after a few post-assembly fixes ;-)
• Jan 2006 - Construction begins. Photos of the good times!
